Motorized/Non-Motorized Verification Procedure

Do you have a boat this year and want to use it on Raintree Lake?

Here are the following steps to get your boat verified and ready to be put on the lake:

STEPS FOR ALL MOTORIZED WATERCRAFT (New to Raintree Lake only):

STEP 1

Provide the title, registration, or bill of sale to verify ownership of watercraft

STEP 2

Take the Boater’s Safety Test. Link to take the test: Boater’s safety Test

STEP 3

Provide a copy of the boat Insurance policy. The following MUST BE INCLUDED ON POLICY:

  • 300,000 minimum liability coverage
  • Raintree  Lake Property Owners Association with the address added of 825 SW Raintree  Drive, Lee’s Summit, MO 64082 MUST be listed as an “additional insured” or “interested party”.

STEP 4

Drop off all documents to the office

After these items have been submitted to the RLPOA office we will create an application for stickers and a verification form for the Water Patrol to inspect your watercraft. Please allow 7 days for Water Patrol staff to contact you to set up a verification appointment.

PLEASE NOTE:  Motor boats, pontoons, sail boats and any vessel with a motor would need to be verified. PWC’S do NOT need to be verified by Water Patrol.

Once Water Patrol has verified your watercraft, the paperwork will be transferred to the office staff. At that time you may contact the office at 816-537-7576 to make an appointment to sign paperwork and purchase your stickers.


STEPS FOR ALL NON-MOTORIZED WATERCRAFT (New to Raintree Lake only)

The following watercraft are considered non-motorized: canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, paddle boats and non-towable floating devices.

Below are the steps to follow for your NEW non-motorized watercraft:

STEP 1

Complete the NON-motorized Watercraft form online

STEP 2

Take the Boater’s Safety Test. Link to take the test: Boater’s safety Test

STEP 3

Provide a copy of your homeowner’s Insurance policy declaration page.

STEP 4

Drop off all documents to the office

After these items have been submitted to the RLPOA office, please allow 7 days for processing before contacting the office at 816-537-7576 to make an appointment to purchase your stickers.
